All General Construction Permits for residential and commercial, new structures and additions, require separate roof permits and separate trade permits. The General Construction Permit only covers the structure, which includes windows and doors. A builder who is doing their own roofing shingles on their own construction would need to pull a separate roofing permit as well. Roofing inspections are not included in the general construction permit.
Any thing that is added such as pools, generators, shutters require a separate permit.
