From time to time residents or visitors require classifiable fingerprints for a variety of reasons, such as for purposes of employment, licensing, and permits, as authorized by state statutes and approved by the Attorney General of the United States. Sometimes federal law requires that United States government agencies and other entities require fingerprinting. Similarly, some officials of federally chartered or insured banking institutions require fingerprinting to promote and maintain the security of those institutions.

The Fernandina Beach Police Department assists the public by offering to conduct fingerprinting in our main lobby between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. The cost of this service is $5.00, regardless of how many print cards are required.

Copies of incident and accident reports are also available during lobby hours at a cost of $2.00 per report.
