Elections
City Elections
The City Clerk is the Supervisor of Elections for all City elections. Elections take place the second Tuesday of April each year. The term of office begins on the second Tuesday in May at the City Commission’s Regular Meeting beginning at 6:00 PM which is directly following the Re-Organizational Meeting scheduled at 5:00 PM on the same date. The term of office is a three-year term.

Absentee Ballot Information
An absentee ballot may be requested by telephone, mail, email, or in person.  To request an absentee ballot, the voter can complete an absentee form and mail it to the City Clerk’s office at the above address, or deliver the absentee ballot request form, or have someone else deliver it to the City Clerk’s office located at 204 Ash Street, Fernandina Beach, or the voter can call the City Clerk’s office at 277-7305 and request an absentee ballot to be mailed.   The last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to a voter, is six (6) days prior to an election.

Photo/Signature ID

Please remember to bring your photo and signature identification with you to the polling place.  If you do not have the required identification, you may vote a provisional ballot.  Voter information cards may not be used for identification.
