Rental Codes

For all rentals of indoor facilities, paviliions, picnic shelters, open/green space, and athletic fields, please note:

  • City rental rates apply to those renters that reside in the City limits
  • Non-City rental rates apply to those renters that reside outside the City limits
  • Half Day* rentals = up to 5 hours
  • Full Day* rentals = over 5 hours but within specified rental hours

* Does not apply to athletic fields

Atlantic Recreation Center - 2500 Atlantic Avenue
The Atlantic Recreation Center is the administrative center for the Parks & Recreation Department.  It houses our pre-school, after-school, and summer camp programs; aquatics office; senior programs; and other programs.


Rental area:  Auditorium

The Atlantic Auditorium is 5616 square feet with a max capacity of 800 standing and 375 sitting (at tables).  It has block walls, tiled floors, and a stage.  There are 225 chairs, thirty (30) 8' banquet tables, and 8 round tables for use.  The full kitchen features 1 refrigerator available to renters, double electric range stoves, a microwave, sinks, an island counter space, and an ice machine.

MLK, Jr. Recreation Center - 1200 Elm Street
The MLK, Jr. Recreation Center offers afters-school tutoring; a summer learning center; a summer food service; Open Cards Night; horseshoe tournaments; and other programs.


Rental Area:  Auditorium

The MLK, Jr. Auditorium is 1478 sq. ft. with a max capacity of 211 standing and 99 sitting (at tables).  It has a full kitchen, with a refrigerator, electric range stove, sink, microwave, ice machine, and island counter space.  There are 79 chairs and 8 round tables for use.

  • Full Day Commercial:  $525.00 / Half Day Commercial:  $375.00
  • Full Day Private:  $275.00 (City) / Half Day Private:  $200.00 (City)

Rental Areas:  Pavilions #1 (14' x 40') and #2 (30' x 60')

These pavilions are conveniently located near a playground, an outdoor basketball court, a baseball/softball field, and restrooms

Peck Center - 516 South 10th Street / Peck Gymnasium - 510 South 10th Street
The Peck Center is the former William Henderson Peck High School.  This historic building was built in 1928, and it has been converted into a multi-purpose center, which encompasses the Peck Center and Peck Gymnasium.

The Peck Center is home to several non-profit organizations, as well as the City Attorney, Finance Department, and Information Technology Department. 


Rental area:  Willie Mae Ashley Peck Auditorium

The Willie Mae Ashley Peck Auditorium is 1543 sq. ft. with a max capacity of 400 standing and 150 seated.  It has a stage, wireless sound system, and piano (upon request), and it comes equipped with 100 cushioned chairs.

Rental area:  Reception Room

The Peck Reception Room is 616 sq. ft. with a max capacity of 88 standing and 41 sitting (at tables).  It has 1 conference table and 10 chairs.  Also in this room are a couch and a handful of decorative chairs that can be used.

Peck Gymnasium provides a variety of sports programs, including adult basketball leagues, club youth volleyball, open adult volleyball, and open indoor soccer.  A Weight Room (free weights and machines) and Cardio Area (elliptical machines, treadmills, exercise bikes) are available for use by paying daily, monthly, 4-month, or 12-month fees.  Instructed youth fitness and weightlifting programs are also available.


Rental area:  Open gym area

Peck Gymnasium is 7693 sq. ft. and has a max capacity of 1099 standing and 513 sitting (at tables).  The Gymnasium offers 6 fixed height basketball goals and 2 in-ground volleyball courts.  Seating is provided via 6 sets of portable bleachers that seat close to 250 people total.  The Gymnasium is also under 24-hour video surveillance for your patrons' safety.  Rental of this facility does not include the Cardio Area or Weight Room.

Peck Field Pavilion - 516 South 10th Street
This is a covered pavilion with picnic tables.  It is located near a baseball/softball practice field and open space.  Two (2) soccer goals are located in the open space.

  • Full Day rental (City):  $50.00 / Half Day rental (City):  $25.00
  • Full Day rental (Non-City):  $63.00 / Half Day rental (Non-City):  $31.00
  • $50.00 refundable deposit on all pavilion rentals

Central Park Pavilion - 1218 Atlantic Avenue
This is a covered gazebo, with picnic tables, that also has access to a playground, open space, 4 tennis courts, and restrooms.  Access to electricity and water are available.

These are covered shelters located at Seaside Park.  They have convenient access to the beach and restrooms.

These are covered shelters located at North Beach Park.  They have convenient access to the beach.

Main Beach Park - 32 North Fletcher Avenue
Main Beach Park has the following amenities:  playground; 2 pavilions; 6 picnic shelters; picnic tables; beach accesses; wooden boardwalk; outdoor showers; 2 sand volleyball courts (on the beach); multi-purpose court (basketball/inline hockey); open space; and restrooms.


Rental areas:  Pavilions A (20' x 20') and B (15' x 25')

These are covered shelters located on the Main Beach boardwalk (Pavilion A is closest to Sandy Bottoms Restaurant).  They have convenient access to the beach, open space, a playground, 2 sand volleyball courts, outdoor showers, restrooms, and water fountains.

Ybor Alvarez Softball Fields #1, #2, and #3 - 3243 Bailey Road
These are lighted adult softball fields, with covered dugouts, located at the Fernandina Beach Athletic Complex (65' ft distances between bases; 50' distances from pitchers' plates to homeplates; fence distances - 289' left and right fields, 297' center fields).  Pitching screens are located on all 3 fields.   A restroom building is adjacent to the fields.  A $25 refundable deposit is required to obtain a restroom key for a field(s) rental.

Fields can be reserved for practices (no fees) by contacting the Atlantic Recreation Center at 310-3350.  Restrooms are unlocked only if a Parks & Recreation staff member is on-site.
