Hometown All-American 4th of July Celebration

Sponsored by the City of Fernandina Beach and Light Up Amelia.  This evening celebration includes a parade, music and contests at the waterfront, and fireworks.  The parade begins the celebration at 6:00pm, with the fireworks display concluding the evening at 9:30pm.

Schedule of activities:
  • 6:00pm - Parade begins
  • 7:00pm - Waterfront event starts at Parking Lot B
  • 7:00pm - Yancy Clegg performs until 8:30pm
  • 7:20pm - Decorated bicycle judging
  • 7:40pm - Patriotic pet contest
  • 8:00pm - Pie judging
  • 8:20pm - Eating contest
  • 8:45pm - Nassau Community Band performs
  • 9:30pm - Fireworks

Great Southern Tailgate Classic
August 21st - 22nd
Main Beach Park

Tailgating competition featuring representatives from several colleges and universities.  Other featured activities include live music from acclaimed music acts; drumline performances; fan competitions; tailgating seminars; and more.

Steve Swan Memorial 2-on-2 Basketball Tournament

Youth divisions (boys and girls):  $40/team.  Adult divisions:  $60/team.  3-person roster limit per team.  Trophies/medals for Youth divisions; cash/trophies for Adult divisions.  Live entertainment and food concessions.  Proceeds will help start the Steve Swan Youth Sports Fund to help underprivileged children participate in area youth sports.
