Try Diving Experience
Have you ever wanted to try scuba diving just to see if you would like it?
A Try Diving Experience program, available to ages 8 and up, gives you the opportunity to experience scuba in a confined environment without committing to an entire certification course.
Join a certified Scuba Diving Instructor or Divemaster for a 1 - 2-hour introductory scuba session (varies according to number of participants) in the Atlantic Recreation Center Pool (pool heated during the winter months). A Try Diving session is customized to fit your schedule.
Bring a bathing suit and towel (mask, snorkel, and fins will be provided if you do not have your own)
Individual: $50 City resident, $62 Non-City
Couple: $80 City residents, $100 Non-City
Family or Group (up to 6 people): $150 City residents, $188 Non-City
Register at the Atlantic Recreation Center.
Participants must complete a Try Diving Release of Liability Form and Medical Questionnaire prior to participation. Download Release of Liability form here: Release of Liability Form
NOTE: If you have an existing medical condition and/or are taking any prescription medication(s), a physician's approval will be required prior to participating in scuba diving.
If you decide that scuba diving is for you, $50 of your Try Diving course fee may be applied to your Open Water Scuba Course offered by the City of Fernandina Beach.
